The mission of the Israeli Journal of  Emergency Medicine (ISRJEM) is to promote the dissemination of knowledge in emergency medicine, and ultimately improve the care of patients in Israel and in general.

ISRJEM is a peer-reviewed Israeli journal that publishes articles of interest to emergency physicians, with emphasis on, but not limited to, Israel and the region. As emergency medicine is a  new specialty in this country, the journal aspires to contribute to its development in all domains: clinical, education, research and administration. ISRJEM covers the entire spectrum of EM practice and all patient age groups.

The journal strives to maintain a high standard of scientific and didactic writing to provide an authoritative  academic forum for exchange of information on EM.

ISRJEM is published by the Israeli Association for Emergency Medicine as part of its mission to its members and to the emergency medicine community at large. It is the Association's official journal. The Journal is published quarterly in both on line and print format, and is distributed internationally.

ISRJEM endorses the World Association of Medical Editors Policy Statement on Geopolitical Intrusion on Editorial Decisions.
